Warts

Warts can be uncomfortable or unsightly, but they do not have to be permanent. Although there are currently no medications that are completely effective in curing warts, there are several treatments that are. These treatments are 100% safe, and include techniques such as liquid nitrogen, cauterization, and excisions, among others. What treatment each patient receives may vary depending on various factors, such as the size and location of the wart(s).

Wart growths are caused by a virus, meaning that they can be spread between people. They have a higher tendency to spread to people who have open cuts or damaged skin. Warts can occasionally go away without any treatment. Although most warts are completely harmless, dermatologists do choose to treat them if they do not go away on their own.
