Eczema

Eczema is a medical condition that involves itchy patches of skin becoming irritated and resulting in things such as redness, bloodiness, and/or crustiness on and surrounding the patches. It has no clear external cause but can sometimes be related to a family history of the condition or other medical conditions such as hay fever, sinus allergies, or asthma. Eczema is most commonly seen in infants and young adults but can affect any age group.

Treatments range and are dependent on variables such as the severity of the symptoms as well as the age of the patient. There are many options to help lessen the uncomfortable symptoms associated with eczema. Some of these options include bland emollients, soothing baths, and wet wraps. However, figuring out the most effective treatments for your specific condition can be determined by discussing with your dermatologist.
